St. Francis de Sales Dominates at the Detroit Catholic League Boy's Cross Country Bishop Championship
In an impressive display of endurance and skill, St. Francis de Sales emerged as the victor at the Detroit Catholic League's Boy's Cross Country Bishop Championship held on October 9, 2024, at Kensington Metro Park. The event brought together some of the top high school cross country teams from around the region in a fierce competition that saw St. Francis de Sales top the scoreboard.
With a total score of 37 points, St. Francis de Sales outpaced their closest competitor, Lumen Christi, who secured 58 points, followed by Detroit Catholic Central with 91 points. The meet was a testament to the rigorous training and dedication of the young athletes who participated from multiple schools including Divine Child, U of D Jesuit, and many others.
St. Francis de Sales' triumph was highlighted by four runners finishing among the top ten individuals, demonstrating the depth and talent of their team. Colton Adolph, Jameson Heck, Brennan Higgins, Owen Little, and Grady Kling brought pride to their school with their exceptional performances. Colton Adolph led his team with a time of 16:53.4, finishing fourth overall, closely followed by his teammates.
